New W.O.M.s

As usual I always try to find new stuff on the Internet and as promised once a week I shall be updating my blog on what's new. So this week I'm going to run down a list of good W.O.M. Websites that are really good for trying and keeping new items from household cleaners to liquor to beauty supplies. So lets start.

1)  Houseparty - Now this is my personal favorite, which I have been a member of for the longest and it is very easy to start. You fill out a few surveys and tell them about yourself then you find out what parties are now receiving applications. You apply and do minor actions to increase your chances (let's say by sharing on Facebook or twitter and also reading the announcements and starting conversations). If you are chosen to be a host, they usually give you 30 minutes to fill out a quicks 2 minute survey and inviting at least 12 people via email mainly. You then get your package in the mail withing 2 weeks and have your party, take pictures and have fun. The most wonderful thing about houseparty is that the host gets the most amazing items to keep and your guest are just as satisfied. I have tried items from Fisher Price, Hot Wheels, Glade and Huggies before they go on the market.

2) BzzAgent - This W.O.M. Is also just as good as houseparty. Basically you get do surveys so that they are able to get to know you and what you like and would be willing to try and buzz about in reviews and face to face. There are new campaigns almost every week that I have noticed and based on your answers in the surveys, they send you an email inviting you to try the campaign which you can decline if you don't like it. You are more likely to get chosen quicker than houseparty and it takes less actions to get an invite. Keep your buzz score (bzzscore) high and the more likely you will be invited and for better ones. I am currently trying Courvoisier Gold, Courvoisier Rose and C by Courvoisier and there are lots more to come.

3) Smiley360 - this is a fairly new W.O.M. which is not as great as the first two mentioned but do have some really good brands to try. You do missions
http://smiley360.com/1375160.cfm to gain smiles which would help you get better missions and score better and bigger brands. The only downfall is their missions aren't as frequent but worth it.

4) Moms Meet - this is a W.O.M. is mainly for moms or people who want to learn about a greener living. You could read about this particular website in my March 1st blog and find out more info

5) Swaggable - this website is also very new but pretty interesting. You don't need to do much to get chosen to try an item. Basically, as the norm you full out the info about yourself and what you like and dislike. Then there will be a list of products that you may (want) to try and you just click them. Based on my experience you get invited to try mainly the newer products based on your want list. There aren't many products but are very new products and very unique (the average person would definitely not pick it up during their grocery run).

I hope you like this list and take the time to join and get new items.

Trying New Things

So i recently took up an interest in sampling and being an influencer. What do I mean by that you ask? Basically it is just me looking for new products to test out and passing the information on to my fellow friends, family and associates. There are so many products out there that we may not know of or even if we do, we do not dare try. So this is where I come in and I test out the products and let you know first hand what my impressions are and if you want I can have you try also. In this day and age market research has expanded to the Internet and companies take advantage of this by using social networks to get their message and their product out there.

So I started searching for ways I can test out new products and let my people know and try it (since they already come my way for all the latest). I recently came across Moms Meet website and was so in tuned that I decided I wanted to form my own Moms Meet group and have another reason to make girls night out even more official. With some of us having kids it is a great way to see what we can do to help raise a healthier kid or have a more chemical free environment. As moms, these things are important to us and that's why I personally love their website and its resources. I'm a stay at home mom so I have the opportunity to get information on these products and pass them along to my family and friends and use that information on my blog for you also. If you would like to become a Moms Meet Ambassador or simply find out information on a greener living visit www.greenmomsmeet.com , there are plenty of resources so take advantage.

I will be posting on here all my reviews on products, and also any new information that can be resourceful to you all.

First Change

So here we are ...

It is the 25th of February and I am on a mission to get my hair healthy and a bit longer (if possible) by the end of spring. My hair is currently all types of damaged, it is brittle, dry, uneven, short, breaking and surely with crazy split ends. Not only is my hair badly damaged but my scalp too from the constant home bleaching I did for a couple of years when I enjoyed being blonde and an ounce of black could not be shown.

So where do I begin?

Late last night or maybe early morning while speaking to my friend (Dee) after non stop coaxing, she convinced me to join this site called Hairlista . And to be clear I only did it so she could stop asking me to. While reading through the sites forums and groups I realized how much I don't do anything to take care of my hair besides grease it. This little insight prompted me to stop and reevaluate myself (hence this blog)… I promised when I awoke in the morning (by His Almighty) that I would be making some changes and make some plans. And so said so it was done. I started first by digging tireless through the piles of books of all kinds (baby books, recipe books, magazines and my prayer book) I found it. The Drivers Manual. I needed to start reading it to go get my permit. I know it's a shame I'm 27 and don't know how to drive the legal way, but it's never to late to start learning. I pulled this book out and dusted it off and that began my journey to not a new me but a better me.

So this is it..

Once or twice a week I'm going to be blogging and updating on what has transpired or will transpire in my hair journey or driving journey or whatever else I choose to expose. You are welcome to join me!
